Objectives

The main objectives of DKRF are:

1. To preserve, promote and develop the Dumi language by writing, reading and teaching in School level currently and in the future propose to make it possible to study and research at the university level.
2. To produce the related literature, curriculum, textbooks and other reading materials in Dumi.
3. To collect, write and publish Dumi genealogy of all Same (lineages) and Pacha (clans) and Risiya (classical song related the Kirat tradition, cultural values and norms).
4. To protect and promote socio-cultural and holy religious values and norms that are beneficial to the Dumi Kirat Rai Society.
5. To protect and promote socio-cultural and holy religious places and weapons which might be the base of the history of Dumi Kirat Rai as well.
6. To protect, preserve and develop traditional skills and styles for cultural values.
7. To protect the right of the indigenous people.
